AAA Lucha Libre

AAA Lucha Libre is a promotional Mexican company of professional wrestling, created in 1992 by Antonio Peña, and is promoted on a national level by Televisa network and on a international level by Galavisión network. It became the first Mexican company in presenting/displaying a complete event of professional wrestling abroad with a complete roster conformed by Mexican fighters, that have toured the United States. A significant fact is that it has obtained in its events is the implementation of new modalities of wrestling, as well as the recruitment of new foreign fighters, mainly of Japan and EU - known promotionally as The Legion of Foreigners. Time before the consolidation of the AAA, Mexican wrestling faced an acute crisis: the entrances were very low and the public was dispersed little by little, even though there were wrestlers of high quality and professional level within the heading.One of the aspects that it obstructed its progress at national level was the belief in the falsification of the blows and therefore, necessary seriousness during the confrontations between fighters. Antonio Peña was dedicated to the programming of posters and the creation of characters/personalities within the sport. Taking advantage of the turmoil that surrounded the sport of wrestling, it integrated to the EMLL independent fighters within the sport circuit, incorporating this way new completely unpublished fighters. Thinking and conceiving the creation of new dynamic evolved formulas and that managed to comprise in particular the affability for the spectators and in order to present/display a new concept of wrestling in the country, Peña included elements like special illumination, music, aides-de-camp and serpentines during the functions of free fight. From it one separated later of the CMLL, on May 15, 1992 to comprise its own promotional company to which it denominated Attendance, Consultant's office and Administration (popularly well-known by its abbreviations AAA). Some of the fighters who initiated their sport trajectory in the newly founded AAA were Rey Misterio, Psicosis, El Hijo de Santo, Octagón, Blue Panther, Los Gringos Locos, Cien Caras and Perro Aguayo, which made tours at national level - similar to the promotional style of the infamous American company WWF - with its innovative concept and with great acceptance between the popular culture.
